155 g of the finest natural salts in a box

Try Foods Salt, known from the lion's den, has put together a selection of high-quality salts for you. All are unrefined and contain no subsequently added substances. The set includes:
15 g Murray River from Australia
20 g fleur de sel from India
40 g rose salt from Bolivia
40 g smoked salt from Denmark
40 g Kala Namak from India

The different salt samples

The Murray River spring water salt is peach to pink in color. The fine salt flakes melt on the tongue. It is also known as the "silk of salt". It is one of the most popular salts among gourmet chefs around the world. You will find that it is the mildest salt you will find in this set.

The pyramid-shaped crystals of the Fleur de Sel are created in a preparation process that is very complex. This Indian salt is very rare. It has a mild taste and a slightly bitter finish. The rose salt is a rarely available rock salt. The cultivation areas are in the plateaus of the Andes mountain range in western Bolivia. It is also called Inca-Andean salt. Because of its iron content, it is pink in color.

The premium smoked salt is reminiscent of the taste of spicy ham. It comes from near Aarhus. It gets its aroma through a traditionally used cold smoking process. The sea salt is smoked over beech wood for 160 hours.

Kala Namak is a traditional specialty in Indian cuisine. Because of its black sheen, it is also known as black salt. The taste that it develops when processed with legumes is reminiscent of egg.

 The Try Foods Salt Booklet

In the booklet, which has a total of 56 pages, Try Foods Salt conducted interviews with four experts. They all have to do with the topic of salt and pass on knowledge and background information about the salts of this world and their production. Regina Schneider is one of the experts.

She is a journalist and book author and has written, among other things, the book "The World of Salt". Hilke Lamschus is the curator of the Lüneburg German Salt Museum. Raphael Deckert and Marco Müller are the business owners and sales managers of Biova, the importer and dealer of natural salt from the Black Forest. During your tasting evening, you can find out what exciting things these experts have to say and use them to entertain your guests. During this salt tasting, everyone will discover how versatile salt can be and discover their favorite.
